Welding robot is an industrial robot engaged in welding (including cutting and spraying), which mainly includes two parts: robot and welding equipment. The manipulator consists of a robot body and a control cabinet. Welding equipment, taking electric arc welding and spot welding as an example, consists of welding power source, wire conveyor, welding gun and other components. The intelligent robot shall also be equipped with laser or camera sensors and their control devices and other sensing systems.
Most welding robots in the world have six axes. Welding manipulators can be used to improve the labor intensity of workers, work in harmful environments, reduce the requirements for workers' operation technology, shorten the preparation period for product transformation, reduce corresponding equipment investment, improve the innovative image and labor productivity of enterprises, and reduce production costs.
Since 2000, the total number of industrial robots in the world has been 757000, 45% of which are welding robots. Since 2000, with the rapid development of domestic industrial manipulators, Chinese manipulators have gradually established themselves in the world, and more and more welding robots have been developed, produced and applied. At present, it is mainly concentrated in automobile, motorcycle, construction machinery, railway machinery and other major industries, among which automobile production is a large user.
Whether the welding robot can be applied to the application of welding robot in actual production, the fusion of welding technology and system engineering technology, and whether the welding robot can be applied in actual production and play its advantages depend on the degree of fusion of the above technologies by Chinese engineers. As a large user of welding manipulators, it is estimated that the annual output of automobiles in China will reach ten million in the next 10 years. The current welding equipment will be far from meeting the production demand, and the demand for welding equipment will increase significantly. The demand for welding production lines will be more automatic and flexible, which is suitable for the production requirements of multiple varieties and small batches. Robots will be widely used in welding production lines. For the robot manufacturers in China, how to seize the opportunity is an important issue to be solved at present. On the other hand, it also determines the fate of our welding robots.
