Welding robot is a modern automatic equipment integrating computer, electronics, sensors, artificial intelligence and other knowledge. Welding robot is mainly composed of robot body and automatic welding equipment. The welding robot is easy to realize the stability and improvement of welding products, can continuously produce for 24 hours, greatly improve the production efficiency, and replace the long-term manual work in harmful environments. Welding robots directly used for welding include electric arc welding, resistance welding, gas welding, etc.
1、 Components of welding robot
1. Execution part: This is the mechanical structure that the welding robot transmits force or torque and performs specific actions to complete welding tasks. Including the body, arm, wrist and hand of the welding robot.
2. Control part: responsible for controlling electronic, electrical components and computer systems, and completing welding operations according to specified procedures and required tracks.
3. Power source and transmission part: it can provide and transmit mechanical energy for the executive part, mainly electric or hydraulic parts.
4. Process assurance: mainly including robot welding power supply, wire feed, air supply device, etc.
2、 Freedom selection of welding robot
The arm and wrist of the welding robot are the basic motion parts. Any robot arm designed has three degrees of freedom to ensure that the end of the arm can reach any point within its working range. The three degrees of freedom of the wrist are rotation motions perpendicular to the three coordinate axes X.Y.Z in space, commonly referred to as rolling, tilting and deflecting motions.
When purchasing and using welding robots, the following aspects should be considered:
1. The production type of weldment belongs to multi variety and small batch production.
2. The structural dimensions of weldments are mainly small and medium-sized weldments, and the material and thickness of weldments are conducive to spot welding or gas shielded welding.
3. The blank to be welded can meet the process requirements of welding robot in terms of dimensional accuracy and assembly accuracy.
4. The automatic welding equipment, welding positioner and other equipment used together with the welding robot shall be coordinated online with the welding robot to keep the production rhythm in step.
